Screenwriting for Music Video

An independent production is seeking a talented Screenwriter to help bring a visually driven alt-pop music video to life. We're looking for a creative mind to craft a compelling, narrative-driven concept for a song exploring themes of self-discovery and urban melancholy. The tone is artistic, slightly surreal, and deeply emotive, moving beyond typical performance videos. You'll work closely with the director and artist to develop a storyline, visual motifs, and scene breakdowns that complement the track. Key responsibilities include generating detailed scene descriptions, character beats if applicable, and potential on-screen text or symbolic elements. We're open to all experience levels; your portfolio and unique voice are what matter most. A strong reel or writing samples showcasing narrative creativity and visual storytelling is essential. This is a freelance position, with an estimated 2-3 days of work over a flexible period around October 2, 2026. Compensation is $1000-1500 per day. Please include your day rate with your application.
