Senior Art Dept. for Atlanta Doc

Seeking a Senior Art Department professional to join our independent documentary project in Atlanta, GA. We're crafting a thoughtful, character-driven documentary exploring the untold stories of freshwater conservation efforts in the Southeast. This project has a natural, authentic aesthetic, leaning into practical solutions and real-world environments. Your key responsibilities will include designing, fabricating, and sourcing props and set dressing elements to enhance our on-location interviews and vérité scenes, always maintaining a realistic and unobtrusive feel. You'll work closely with the director to achieve the desired visual tone, often adapting to various real-world environments. We require a candidate with significant previous art department experience on documentaries or similar unscripted productions. Please provide a reel or portfolio showcasing your relevant work. You should be familiar with working efficiently within a documentary workflow, which can be fluid. We anticipate about 2-3 weeks of work spread across October 2026 and early November 2026, including prep and shoot days, with our main shoot window targeted for around October 4, 2026. This is a paid position offering $100-200 per day. Some tools and materials will be provided, but your personal kit is a plus.
