Senior Colorist, Sci-Fi Short (Volunteer)

Filming in Chicago, IL for approximately 2-3 days in October 2026, we are seeking a passionate Senior Colorist for an ambitious, independent science fiction short film. This project is a visually driven story exploring themes of memory and consciousness, with a tone that blends mystery and quiet introspection. We aim for a polished, cinematic and your expertise will be crucial in achieving our vision. This is a passion project, so compensation is volunteer based, but it offers a fantastic opportunity to collaborate on a compelling narrative and enhance your reel. Your primary responsibility will be to perform comprehensive color grading on all project footage, ensuring visual consistency and enhancing the film's overall mood and aesthetic. We need someone experienced with professional grading software (e.g., DaVinci Resolve, Baselight) and a strong understanding of color theory and cinematic looks. Access to your own color grading suite or equipment is a significant plus. Please provide a link to your reel showcasing your best work in color grading. We anticipate post-production work to begin in late October 2026 and last for about 3-4 weeks. Your creative input will be highly valued.
