Color Grading for Feature Film

Feature Film Color Grading Los Angeles, CA any Budget: No pay (passion project)

Los Angeles, CA: Seeking a volunteer colorist for an independent feature film. This is a passion project with an estimated 3-4 weeks of post-production work, starting around October 19, 2026. Our upcoming project is a gritty, character-driven drama set in the criminal underworld, exploring themes of loyalty and redemption with a neo-noir aesthetic. We aim for a visually striking, atmospheric look to enhance the narrative's tension and emotional depth. Key responsibilities include collaborating with the director and cinematographer (myself) to establish and execute the final performing color correction and grading to achieve desired emotional impact and visual consistency, and delivering final graded footage in specified formats. We are looking for someone with an eye for detail and a strong understanding of color theory and cinematic aesthetics. While experience with DaVinci Resolve or similar software is essential, we welcome all experience levels, from emerging talent to seasoned professionals looking for a compelling project. Please provide a reel or portfolio showcasing your previous work. We'll be working remotely for most of the process, though occasional in-person meetings in LA may be beneficial. While this is a volunteer role, it's a fantastic opportunity to collaborate on a meaningful film and build your portfolio. Applications will be reviewed as they come in, with a final deadline of October 29, 2026.
