Entry Colorist, Doc Feature Post-Production
Our independent production is seeking an entry-level Colorist for a compelling feature documentary shot primarily in the Los Angeles area. This project delves into the untold stories of individuals pushing the boundaries of extreme sports, with a raw, authentic tone. We're looking for someone who can help us enhance the visual narrative, bringing out the depth and emotion in our footage through nuanced color work. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to make a significant impact on a passionate team. Key responsibilities include primary and secondary color correction, grading scenes to match mood and aesthetic, and ensuring consistency across various camera formats. You should be proficient with industry-standard software, ideally DaVinci Resolve, and have a good understanding of color theory and practical application. While this is an entry-level position, a strong reel demonstrating your eye for color and ability to tell a story visually is essential. Post-production for color grading is anticipated to begin around the first week of November 2026 and continue for approximately three weeks. This is a full-time commitment during that period. We are offering paid compensation of $1000-1500 per day, dependent on experience and final scope. You will be expected to work from your own studio or a dedicated space with professional-grade monitoring. Final deliverables will be for theatrical and streaming platforms.
