Senior Editor, Web Series (Co-Producer)
Hey Chicago editors! I'm Robin, a storyboard artist, and I'm putting together a talented team for an upcoming independent web series. We're looking for a senior editor to join us as a co-producer. This project is a gritty, character-driven drama, think early 2000s indie film vibes, with a dark sense of humor. It's ambitious, but we've got a fantastic script and passionate crew. As our editor, you'll be responsible for shaping the narrative, finessing performances, and ensuring a cohesive visual style. This isn't just about cutting clips, it's about storytelling. We're looking for someone who can really dig into the footage and elevate the material. Key responsibilities include assembling rough cuts, refining picture-locked edits, and working closely with the director on pacing and tone. We need someone with extensive experience in dramatic storytelling, specifically with long-form content or series work. You should be proficient in industry-standard editing software, preferably DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere Pro, and have your own editing station. A strong reel showcasing your narrative work is essential. We're aiming to shoot late summer/early fall, so the editing would primarily be a fall/winter commitment. This is a partnership opportunity, meaning compensation is backend participation, along with a co-producer credit. We believe in sharing the success. If you're ready to be a crucial creative voice in a compelling project, send over your reel and a brief intro about your experience.
