Senior Editor, Web Series (Manchester)

Seeking an experienced editor for an upcoming independent web series, offering £100-200/day for approximately 3 weeks of work. We're looking for someone to join our team in late September or early October 2026. This is a dramatic web series with a dark comedic undertone, exploring the absurdities of modern life in a grounded, character-driven way. We're aiming for a polished, cinematic feel despite our independent budget. Your main responsibility will be assembling raw footage into compelling episodes, implementing sound design and music cues, and managing post-production workflow to meet deadlines. We need someone who can shape narrative effectively, handle multiple storylines, and bring creative flair to the project's pacing and tone. You'll work closely with the director to refine the cut. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of experience in narrative editing, particularly with long-form or episodic content. A strong portfolio or reel demonstrating your storytelling abilities is essential. You must be proficient with industry-standard editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, and ideally have your own editing suite or workstation. While this is primarily a remote position, some in-person collaboration in Manchester may be required for specific feedback sessions or screenings. We'll provide all necessary project files, a clear editorial brief, and regular communication to ensure a smooth post-production process.
