Senior Production Designer, Feature Film (Mexico City)

Hey everyone, Catalina here (I'm a Location Scout). We're looking for a Senior Production Designer to join us for an upcoming independent feature film shooting in Mexico City. It's a gritty, character-driven drama, think grounded realism with a touch of surrealism for certain emotional beats. We need someone who can craft authentic environments that really serve the story, often with practical limitations. Your main gig will be leading the art department, translating the director's vision into tangible sets and props, overseeing set decoration, and managing the overall visual aesthetic. You'll be responsible for creating design concepts, budgeting, managing a small team, and ensuring all art elements are ready for shoot days. We're looking for someone with significant feature film experience in production design, ideally with some work in Mexico or Latin America. Please have a strong portfolio or reel showcasing your range and ability to work creatively within budgets. We're aiming to shoot late summer/early fall for about 4-5 weeks, likely 10-12 hour days. Daily rate is $150-300 USD, depending on experience. We'll handle local transport and meals during production. Looking forward to seeing your work!
