Senior Screenwriter, Sci-Fi Pilot

Hey everyone, Rosa here. My friend is developing a really cool sci-fi pilot and is looking for a senior screenwriter to join the team. It's a dark comedy with some mind-bending twists, set in a dystopian future where technology has gone seriously awry. Think Black Mirror meets The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. We're looking for someone who can really dig into character development and craft sharp, witty dialogue that also serves a compelling plot. Your main responsibilities will include collaborating closely with the director and showrunner on script revisions, breaking down story beats, and contributing to overall narrative structure. We need someone who can work efficiently under tight deadlines and bring fresh, innovative ideas to the table. We're seeking writers with at least 5 years of professional screenwriting experience, ideally with previous pilot or series development credits. Strong portfolio of writing samples, especially in the sci-fi or dark comedy genres, is a must. This is an independent production, so a collaborative spirit and adaptability are key. Exact start date is TBD but we're aiming for early summer. Compensation will be decided based on experience, of course.
