Senior Sound Designer, Atlanta Feature (Remote OK)

Seeking an experienced Senior Sound Designer to join our independent production, starting on pre-production for sound in late September 2026. This is a gritty psychological thriller, a character-driven piece that relies heavily on atmospheric tension and nuanced audio storytelling to build dread. Your expertise will be crucial in crafting an immersive and unsettling sonic landscape for our upcoming feature film. Key responsibilities include designing all sound elements, Foley, and sound effects, working closely with the director to realize their vision, and delivering high-quality audio files for final mix. We're looking for someone with a strong portfolio showcasing their ability to enhance narrative through sound, particularly in the thriller or horror genres. You should have your own professional-grade sound design software and access to a sound effects library. Ideally, you're based in Atlanta, GA, but we are open to remote collaboration for the right candidate. This is a volunteer position, offering full credit on a feature film that we believe will resonate with audiences. We will also provide meals when on set for any in-person collaboration, though most of this role can be completed remotely.
