Sound Design for Commercial
Hey Austin sound wizards! I'm Haley, a screenwriter, and I'm putting together a small crew for an upcoming commercial project. This particular spot is for a local coffee shop, aiming for a warm, inviting, and slightly quirky vibe. We're looking to tell a little story within the commercial, so the sound design will be key in conveying moods and helping to punctuate the narrative beats. This isn't just about mixing dialogue, but really crafting an auditory world. We need a Sound Designer to handle all aspects, from foley and effects to ambiance and final mix. You'll be working closely with the director and editor to achieve the desired soundscape. Ideally, you’ll have your own basic sound design software and be comfortable working independently. We're primarily looking for someone eager to build their reel, so some prior experience with short films or other independent productions is a plus, but passion and a good ear are most important. Please send over a reel or examples of your sound work, even student projects are welcome. We're aiming to shoot late April/early May, with post-production following quickly after. Hours will be flexible, project-based. This is a deferred compensation opportunity, with a backend percentage offered. Let's make something great!
