Sound Designer, Music Video (NYC)

Hey everyone, Ray here. I’m a scenic painter, and I’m helping a director friend find a Sound Designer for an upcoming music video. It's for an indie electro-pop artist, very atmospheric and moody, with some surreal visual elements. We’re really trying to create something unique, so the sound design is going to be crucial for setting the tone and mood, almost like another character. We need someone who can craft original soundscapes, foley, and effects to complement the visuals. Responsibilities include working closely with the director on conceptualizing the sound, executing all post-production sound elements, and delivering final mixes. You'll need to have your own sound design software and ideally some library access. While a reel showing your previous work is a plus, we're open to all experience levels, especially if you have a strong portfolio or even just a killer demo. This is an independent production, so compensation will be a backend percentage, but we’re committed to making this project something we can all be proud of. Shoot dates are approximate, probably a few days of actual filming in late spring/early summer, and then post will be flexible. We're shooting in and around NYC.
