Sound Designer (Mid-Level) for Indie Feature
Hey folks, Monique Hale here, a dialect coach on an exciting independent feature. We're looking for a talented mid-level Sound Designer to join our team. This is a compelling, character-driven drama with elements of a psychological thriller, set against a stark, isolated landscape. It's an intimate story where sound design will be crucial in building tension and conveying the characters' internal states. We're aiming for a rich, immersive soundscape that truly elevates the narrative. Your main responsibilities will include creating and implementing all foley, sound effects, and atmospheric design for the entire film, working closely with the director and picture editor. We're looking for someone with a strong ear for detail and a creative approach to storytelling through sound. We're searching for someone with at least 3-5 years of experience in feature film sound design or similarly intensive projects. You should have your own professional sound design software and sufficient workstation to handle a feature length project. A solid reel showcasing your previous work is a must. This is a partnership opportunity, offering a revenue share once the film recoups its costs. We're flexible on location, so remote work is absolutely fine, though we can arrange occasional meetups in Los Angeles if you're local. Post-production is expected to run for approximately 10-12 weeks, starting this summer. More specifics on the timeline will be discussed during initial conversations. Excited to hear from you and see your work!
