VFX Artist, Doc Post-Production
Seeking a talented VFX Artist to join our independent documentary production for about 3 weeks of work, starting the last week of October 2026. This project is a deeply moving investigative documentary, exploring untold stories with a gritty, realistic tone. We have some exciting creative opportunities for visual effects work, primarily focused on enhancing archival footage, subtle compositing, screen replacements, and cleanup, all aimed at immersing the audience without drawing attention to the effects themselves. You will be instrumental in integrating these elements smoothly into the narrative. Key responsibilities include creating visual effects shots, collaborating with the editor and director, and delivering high-quality, final renders. Applicants should have a strong portfolio demonstrating their skills, especially with documentary or realistic visual effects. Experience with Nuke, After Effects, or similar industry-standard compositing software is essential. While we don't require you to bring specific hardware or software licenses, please indicate your preferred setup. This is a day rate position, paying $1000-1500 per day depending on experience, with flexibility for remote work or working from our post-production suite in Toronto, ON.
