Sound Reports: Early Mistakes & Advice for a Composer Transitioning

Hey everyone, Andre Williams here. I'm a music composer, but I'm currently producing and directing a short film, so I'm handling a lot more of the on-set logistics than usual. We're using a V-RAPTOR XL and I've got a decent audio setup with an 833 mixer and MKH 8060, but honestly, the sound report side of things is where I feel a bit out of my depth.

I'm doing my best to be meticulous, slate numbers, scene/take, good/bad takes, even trying to note specific mic issues (like if a 6060 lavalier was scratchy on a particular line). I'm filling them out digitally, trying to be consistent. But I keep wondering, from an editor's or post-sound mixer's perspective, what are the hidden pitfalls?

Thinking back to when you were starting out with Production Sound Reports, what was the most common mistake you made that led to headaches for the editors or sound mixers in post-production? What's the one piece of advice you'd give a beginner like me to avoid that specific pitfall?
