Dialogue Clean-Up for Ultra-Tight Budgets: Maximizing Impact, Minimizing Tweaks?

Hey everyone, Ji-Hoon Baek here. I'm supervising VFX on an indie feature right now, shot mostly on an ALEXA Mini with an 888 for dialogue recording, but our post-audio budget is seriously lean. My dialogue editor's hours are very limited, and we can't afford a full suite of high-end noise reduction plugins or endless passes.

We're dealing with some of the usual suspects, HVAC hum, occasional distant traffic, and some subtle clothing rustle that slipped past us on set. We've tried basic gating and some EQ, but I'm looking for methods that give the biggest bang for the buck in terms of 'cleaning' dialogue non-destructively, without requiring constant re-rendering or specialized, costly tools. We need effective, efficient techniques that don't eat up precious editor time.

What are your go-to, practical, non-destructive clean-up techniques for dialogue in these situations? What gives you the most mileage with minimal fuss?
