Streamlining Proxy Workflows for 4K+ Footage - On-Set/Post-Ingest

Hey fellow grips and filmmakers, I'm trying to wrap my head around proxy workflows for some of our bigger productions. We're often shooting on an ALEXA Mini or even VENICE 2, generating a ton of 4K+ footage, and while I understand the why of proxies, I'm struggling with the how to best integrate it into our process for maximum efficiency.

Right now, we're mostly just dumping cards and then someone in post eventually génèrates proxies. It feels a bit like an afterthought, and I'm wondering if there's a better way to implement this earlier. Are any of you generating proxies on-set, perhaps with a DIT cart? Or do you have a rock-solid, post-ingest routine that makes it completely seamless? What gear or software helps you manage this, especially with multiple cards coming in from a C300 Mark III and a Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2 simultaneously? I'm looking for practical advice to avoid bottlenecks downstream.

How do you integrate proxy generation and management into your on-set or post-ingest process to truly maximize efficiency?
