Audio Mix Compromise: Studio vs. Consumer Devices for Theatrical?

I’m running into a common audio challenge and looking for some real-world advice. I'm a colorist by trade, but I often wear other hats on indie projects, and right now I'm helping a friend with a short film's final sound pass. We've got our theatrical mix sounding fantastic on my studio monitors (Yamaha HS8s, Beyerdynamic DT 770s), but as soon as I check it on my MacBook Pro speakers or a standard TV, the dialogue gets lost, and the music becomes muddy.

I've been trying to find a sweet spot, boosting the dialogue subtly and rolling off some bass to clear things up on smaller devices. However, this starts to thin out the mix on the studio monitors, and I'm worried it'll sound too 'bright' or anemic in a proper cinema setting. We shot this on an AMIRA, so we're aiming for that cinematic feel.

How do you pros navigate this? Is there a technique or a mindset that allows for a decent consumer experience without gutting the theatrical intention?
