I'm Chris, a Key Grip, and frankly, some of these new 'trends' have me scratching my head. I'm currently on an indie feature shooting on an ALEXA Mini, and we're always looking for ways to stretch our budget and get more on screen. I've been hearing a lot of buzz about AI-generated content tools like Runway and Sora, and then on the other side, there's blockchain airdrops for funding or fan engagement.

I get the potential cool factor, but as someone who's just trying to make a good-looking film on a tight schedule, I'm wondering what's actually going to stick.

From your perspective, which of these '2026' technologies (AI content generation or blockchain airdrops) do you see having the most practical, lasting impact for independent filmmakers, versus just being a short-lived fad?
