Colorist, Indie Short Film (Remote OK)
Hey filmmakers! We're on the hunt for a skilled Colorist for an upcoming independent short film. This is a dramatic piece, a character study with a slightly melancholic, introspective tone. We've shot some beautiful footage and now need someone with a great eye to help us really craft the visual language and enhance the emotional impact. It's a poignant story that I think will resonate. You'll be responsible for the full color grading process, including primary and secondary corrections, matching shots, and delivering the final graded footage in our required formats. We're looking for someone with mid-level experience in color grading, a solid understanding of color theory, and proficiency with professional grading software (DaVinci Resolve preferred, but open to others). Please have a reel or portfolio showcasing your previous work ready to share. This is a volunteer position, but we'll provide meals on any potential in-person sessions (though remote work is certainly an option) and a copy of the final film for your reel. We're aiming for grading to begin in late July, likely spanning a few weeks, with flexible hours. This is a great chance to contribute to a meaningful story and collaborate with a passionate small crew. Looking forward to seeing your work!
