Gaffer (Senior) for Corporate Doc Series

Hey everyone, Drew here. I'm putting together a small crew for an upcoming project, a corporate documentary series focusing on innovative local businesses in Chicago. It's not your typical talking head setup, we're aiming for a really cinematic, engaging look to bring these stories to life. We're looking for a senior Gaffer to join us. You'll be instrumental in shaping the visual aesthetic, working closely with the DP to execute lighting plans that are both beautiful and efficient. We need someone who can handle a variety of corporate environments, from offices to production floors, and who is experienced with a range of lighting setups, from small interviews to larger, more dynamic scenes. You should have your own lighting kit that's suitable for a high-end corporate production, and a strong reel showcasing your work. We're looking at about 3-4 shoot days spread across late September and early October, generally 8-10 hour days. This is an independent production, so it's a volunteer position, but we'll provide meals on set and you'll definitely get a copy for your reel. We're a friendly, professional crew, and it's a great opportunity to contribute to a visually ambitious project.
