Gaffer for Sci-Fi/Drama Pilot (Entry-Level)

Hey filmmakers, I'm a 2nd AC working on an exciting sci-fi drama pilot out of Los Angeles and we're looking for a sharp Gaffer to join our crew. This project has a really unique visual style and some cool practical effects, so we need someone creative and resourceful. We're looking for someone who can help us bring the director's vision to life through lighting. Think moody, atmospheric, and dynamic. Key responsibilities include collaborating with the DP on lighting setups, managing the electric department, and ensuring safe and efficient power distribution on set. Ideally, you'll have some basic lighting gear, including a small kit of LEDs, stands, and grip essentials, or access to them. Previous experience on independent productions is a plus, and a strong eye for visuals is a must. Please share your reel or any relevant work you've done. This is an entry-level position, perfect for someone looking to build their resume and gain valuable experience on a narrative project. Compensation is on deferred points plus a deferred fee structure. We're aiming to shoot for around 3-4 days in late summer or early fall, somewhere in the Los Angeles area.
