Director of Photography, Music Video

Hey filmmakers, I’m a screenwriter putting together a music video for an indie artist, and we’re on the hunt for a talented DP to join our crew. This project is a visually driven, moody R&B track with a strong narrative element. Think atmospheric lighting and compelling close-ups that really tell a story. We’re looking to create something beautiful and impactful that really stands out. As our Director of Photography, you'd be responsible for helping us craft the visual language of the video. This includes working with the director to develop the shot list, handling lighting setups, and operating the camera to get those perfect shots. Your artistic input will be invaluable in bringing this vision to life. We’re open to all experience levels, from rising talents to seasoned pros. The main thing is that you have a strong eye and a passion for visual storytelling. Please have your own camera package (e.g., Blackmagic Pocket, Sony a7S III, Canon C70, RED Komodo, etc.) and lighting kit. A strong reel showcasing your cinematography skills is a must, no matter how short. This is a passion project, so compensation will be deferred. We’re shooting in Brooklyn, likely over 2-3 days in late May or early June, exact dates TBD based on crew availability. We’ll provide craft services and a great collaborative environment.
