Lighting for Pilot

Hey Chicago Gaffer community, I'm Drew, a Re-recording Mixer, and we're looking for a senior Gaffer for an upcoming sci-fi pilot. This project is a really cool, gritty sci-fi thriller set in a near-future Chicago, think a blend of cyberpunk aesthetics with grounded characters. We're aiming for a dark, atmospheric so a creative eye for practicals and shaping light will be crucial. Your main responsibilities will include collaborating with the DP to execute the lighting design, managing the electric team, and ensuring all lighting is safe and efficient. We'll be relying on your expertise to help us achieve some pretty ambitious looks on a tight schedule. We need someone with extensive on-set experience, ideally on projects with complex lighting requirements. You should be familiar with various lighting fixtures, power distribution, and safety protocols. Please have a portfolio or reel demonstrating your work. We're not expecting you to bring a full truck, but knowledge of current rental house options and efficient rigging solutions is vital. Shoot dates are tentatively set for late June, early July, approximately 3-4 twelve-hour days. We'll provide lunch, snacks, and plenty of coffee. Compensation is $250/day flat.
