Gaffer (or Best Boy/Girl Electric) - Feature

Feature Film Lighting Toronto, ON any Budget: $2000-3000/week

Hey Toronto lighting pros, I'm Kyle, a Colorist, and I'm helping a friend staff their upcoming feature film. It's a dark comedy, kind of Coen Brothers meets indie drama, with a really intriguing script. We're looking for a talented Gaffer, or a strong Best Boy/Girl Electric, to lead our lighting department. You'll be responsible for executing the Cinematographer's vision and managing the lighting package, ensuring everything is rigged safely and efficiently. This is an independent production, so we need someone who's resourceful and adaptable. Experience on narrative features is a plus, but we're open to passionate folks from any background, as long as you've got a solid understanding of set safety and lighting principles. A reel or portfolio demonstrating your electrical work is appreciated, if you have one. Shoot dates are approximately 5 weeks, starting mid-May, Monday to Friday. We're providing all necessary lighting gear and transportation to locations from a central pickup point. This is a paid position, $2000-3000/week, depending on experience and role. Looking forward to hearing from you!
