Lighting for Music Video

Hey filmmakers, I'm a Grip working on an ambitious R&B music video and we're on the hunt for a talented entry-level Gaffer. It's a high-energy performance piece with some stylish, moody narrative elements, so we're looking for someone who can translate that vibe into dynamic lighting setups. You'll be working closely with the Cinematographer and Director to execute their vision, overseeing the lighting crew, and ensuring everything is powered safely and efficiently. We expect you to have a strong understanding of various lighting techniques, DMX control, and basic electrical distribution for film sets. While we'll have a package coming from a local rental house, familiarity with common lighting units and grip equipment is a must. Showing us your reel or examples of your past work where you've handled lighting responsibilities is really important. This is an independent production, but we're committed to fair compensation. Shoot dates are approximate, but we’re looking at a 3-4 day shoot in late September. Long days are expected, typical for music video production. We'll be providing production insurance, catering, and transportation for equipment.
