Senior Sound Designer, Web Series (Nashville)

Hey Nashville folks, Andre here, a local music composer diving into a new web series project. We're looking for a sharp, experienced Sound Designer to help bring our 6-episode horror/thriller series to life. Think psychological suspense, unsettling atmospheres, and jump scares that really land. This isn't your typical monster flick, it's more about what you don't see, and sound design is going to be crucial for building that tension. Your main gig will be creating and implementing all original sound effects, foley, and atmospheric elements, as well as mixing and mastering the audio for each episode. We're talking everything from subtle creaks and whispers to impactful stings and environmental textures that truly immerse the audience. You'll need to have your own professional-grade sound design software and access to a decent sound effects library. Ideally, you have 5+ years of experience in film or web series sound design, and a strong reel demonstrating your ability to craft compelling and nuanced auditory experiences for the horror or thriller genre is a must. This is an independent production, so we're running lean on a volunteer basis. However, you'll receive full screen credit for your contributions and all meals will be provided during our work sessions. We're aiming to start post-production in late April/early May, with flexible hours that we can discuss to fit your schedule. Expect 15-20 hours a week for about two months.
