Sound Designer - Chicago Short

Hey, looking for a talented mid-level Sound Designer for an upcoming independent short film with an interesting, slightly experimental sci-fi-thriller vibe. Think a bit Memento meets Coherence, exploring themes of perception and memory. We've got some cool visual ideas and really want the soundscape to elevate the audience's experience and build tension. You'd be responsible for all post-production audio, including foley, sound effects, ambience, and final mix. You'll work closely with the director to shape the narrative through sound. We don't have a giant budget, so ideally, you'll have your own workstation and a solid library of sounds to pull from. A strong reel showcasing your creative sound design on previous narrative projects is a must. We anticipate a 5-7 day commitment for this part of post-production, likely spread out over a few weeks in April or May. We're open to remote work, but if you're in the Chicago area, that's a bonus. We're paying $100-200/day depending on experience. We'll provide all production sound files and a locked picture edit. Let's make something awesome together!
