Sound Designer, Documentary Feature

Hey Albuquerque film community, I'm a graphic designer on an independent documentary feature looking for a talented Sound Designer to join our team. Our film explores the vibrant, often unseen, world of indigenous artists in the Southwest, focusing on their creative processes and the stories behind their work. It's a visually rich project with a contemplative tone, and we really want the soundscape to enhance the intimacy and authenticity of these narratives. You'll be responsible for all aspects of post-production audio, including designing and mixing the sound, foley, and creating an immersive experience. We're open to all experience levels, from burgeoning talent to seasoned pros, as long as you have a strong ear and a passion for storytelling through sound. Experience with professional audio software (e.g., Pro Tools, Logic Pro) is a must. Please share your reel or a portfolio of your work, particularly any projects where you've tackled complex audio environments or emotional narratives. This is an upcoming project, so post-production would likely begin in late summer or early fall, with a flexible schedule. Compensation is deferred, with a backend percentage. We're a small, dedicated team, and we're excited to collaborate with someone who can bring our film to life through sound.
