Sound Design for Documentary
Hey filmmakers, we're looking for a talented Sound Designer to join our team for an upcoming independent documentary film based in Miami. This is a powerful, character-driven story exploring the vibrant Cuban-American community here. We've got compelling interviews and evocative b-roll, a real opportunity to craft an immersive soundscape that elevates the narrative. As our Sound Designer, you'll be responsible for all post-production audio, including dialogue editing, sound effects design, foley, and mixing. We're aiming for a richly textured and authentic sound. You'll need to have your own professional sound design software and a good suite of plugins. We're looking for someone with at least mid-level experience in documentary features or similar long-form narrative work. Please include a link to your reel showcasing your best sound design work, particularly anything in documentary or character-focused genres. This is a paid position, budgeted at $300-500 a day, depending on experience. We're estimating a 4-6 week commitment for sound post-production, starting roughly late July or early August, though dates are flexible. While this is primarily a remote position, we'll need you to be based in Miami for occasional in-person reviews or client meetings. We're a small, dedicated team and collaborative, so clear communication is key. Let's make some magic happen.
