1st AC or 2nd AC for Indie Feature Film

Hey filmmakers, I'm Tyler, a Camera Operator working on an exciting independent feature film shooting in Vancouver, BC. We're looking for an experienced and reliable 1st Assistant Camera or 2nd Assistant Camera to join our passionate crew. This is a gritty, character-driven drama with elements of a psychological thriller, exploring themes of resilience and difficult choices. It’s a compelling story we believe will resonate deeply with audiences. As our 1st or 2nd AC, you'll be crucial in maintaining camera equipment, pulling focus, slating, and managing media. Experience with a variety of camera systems, especially Arri or RED, is a big plus. Please have your own reliable transportation and be able to commit to the duration of the shoot. While a basic AC kit would be helpful, it’s not strictly required, as we have our primary camera and lenses. Please send over your reel or relevant work samples when you apply. This is a volunteer position, offering valuable on-set experience, screen credit, and all meals provided during shoot days. We're aiming for a 3-4 week shoot block, primarily weekdays, starting late summer or early fall. Exact dates are still being finalized, but flexibility is appreciated.
