Director, Corporate Video (Volunteer)

Seeking a talented Director for an upcoming corporate video project in San Francisco. This is a volunteer, passion-driven opportunity for an independent production, perfect for building your reel. The video will be for a local tech startup, focusing on their innovative new product in a dynamic, slightly playful tone. Think clean visuals with a touch of narrative flair, not a stale informational piece. As Director, you'll be responsible for creative leadership from pre-production through the shoot. This includes collaborating on the script, shot-listing, guiding talent (non-professional actors), and calling the shots on set. We're looking for someone with a strong visual storytelling sense and the ability to inspire a small crew. Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years of directing experience, particularly in corporate or commercial content. Please have access to your own basic directing kit (e.g., monitor, clapperboard, perhaps a small lighting kit if possible) and most importantly, a strong reel demonstrating your directorial vision and ability to achieve polished results. Shoot dates are approximate and flexible, aiming for 2-3 full days in late July or early August. We’ll provide locations, catering, and a small, dedicated crew for camera, sound, and G&E.
