Gaffer (Senior) for Web Series, Manchester

Hey everyone, Callum here. We're looking for an experienced Gaffer to light our upcoming comedy web series shooting in Manchester. It's a fun, fast-paced show, think British dry wit mixed with a bit of absurdity. We're aiming for a bright, clean look that still feels cinematic, even in some smaller locations. We need someone with serious senior Gaffer experience, ideally on web series or short form narrative. You'll be responsible for overseeing all lighting aspects, working closely with the Cinematographer to achieve their vision, managing the lighting crew, and ensuring everything is safe and efficient. Expect a mix of studio and practical locations, so adaptability is key. Must have your own basic kit (meters, some stands, etc.) but we'll be providing the main lighting packages, gels, and distro. Please have a strong reel demonstrating your gaffing work. Our shoot dates are approximate for late autumn, probably 3-4 weeks total, standard 10-hour days. This is an independent production, so we're looking for someone who's passionate and can hit the ground running with a small, dedicated crew. Compensation will be discussed based on experience.
