Director of Photography (DP), Indie Feature

Feature Film Directing Atlanta, GA entry Budget: Co-producer credit + backend

Hey filmmakers, I'm Marcus Johnson, a Director/Writer gearing up for an exciting independent feature film. It's a gripping psychological thriller with a strong character focus, set to shoot primarily in and around Atlanta, GA. Think atmospheric suspense and nuanced performances, with a real opportunity for striking visual storytelling. I'm looking for an entry-level Director of Photography to join our passionate team. You'll be responsible for translating the script’s vision into compelling visuals, collaborating closely with me on shot design, lighting, and camera movement. This is a chance to really make your mark on a full-length feature. We're a lean crew, so a proactive, problem-solving attitude is key. While we don't have a large equipment budget, we're resourceful. We'll be relying on your familiarity with accessible cinema cameras (Blackmagic, Canon C-series, etc.) and lighting techniques to achieve a polished look. Please have your own basic camera package and lighting kit if possible. Most importantly, I want to see your reel. Show me your eye for storytelling and mood. Experience on shorts or student films is perfectly fine. We anticipate principal photography starting late summer, early fall, probably looking at a 15-20 day shoot schedule. This is a partnership opportunity, offering co-producer credit and backend participation in the film’s profits. We're committed to making something special together.
