1st AC (First Assistant Camera), Sci-Fi Short

Seeking a talented and organized 1st Assistant Camera for an independent sci-fi short film shooting in Los Angeles. This project explores themes of artificial intelligence and human connection with a visually evocative, near-future aesthetic. It's a character-driven piece with a few exciting practical effects that will challenge our camera department in a fun way. As 1st AC, you'll be responsible for maintaining focus, building and breaking down the camera package, and general camera department organization. We're looking for someone who is detail-oriented, works well under pressure, and has strong communication skills. We provide the camera, lenses, and all essential equipment. You should have experience with focus pulling on digital cinema cameras, demonstrate a solid understanding of camera operation, and be proactive in your approach. Please include a linked reel or examples of your previous work when applying. Shoot dates are approximately 3-4 days in late July (specific dates TBD, weekdays). Days will be 10-12 hours. Lunch and craft services will be provided on set. This is a paid position, $250/day flat. We're excited to collaborate with a passionate individual to bring this vision to life.
