Sound Designer, Indie Feature (Toronto)

Hey everyone, Lucas here. I'm gaffing an independent feature film shooting in Toronto later this year and we're looking for a talented Sound Designer to join our team. This is a dramatic thriller with some unique psychological elements, aiming for a really immersive and unsettling soundscape to elevate the audience experience. We've got a tight script and an ambitious vision, and sound is going to be crucial in bringing it all to life. You'll be responsible for crafting all the sonic elements, from foley and sound effects to atmospheres, working closely with the director to achieve their creative goals. We're open to all experience levels, from rising talent to seasoned pros, as long as you have a strong ear and a great creative vision. A solid reel showcasing your sound design work is a must. We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running with their own gear and software. The principal photography dates are still being finalized but will likely be over 4-5 weeks in late summer/early fall. Post-production will follow after that. This is a paid position, with a rate of $1000-1500 per day, depending on experience. We'll provide a comfortable and collaborative working environment.
