Sound Design for Pilot

Hey film fam, I'm a rigging gaffer on an exciting independent pilot and we're looking for an enthusiastic entry-level Sound Designer to join our crew! This is a dramatic thriller, think psychological suspense with a gritty, urban feel. We're telling a really intense story, and the sound design is going to be absolutely crucial in building that atmosphere and tension. This is a chance to really make your mark on a project. Your main responsibilities will include working with the director and editor to craft the sonic landscape of the pilot, including foley, sound effects, and atmospheric design. We're looking for someone who has their own basic sound design software and ideally a good pair of headphones. While this is an entry-level position, some prior experience (even on student films or personal projects) and a reel demonstrating your skills are a huge plus. We understand this is a volunteer position, so we're offering credit for your work and delicious meals on set. Shoot dates are approximate, but we anticipate 5-7 days of principal photography spread across late September and early October here in New York City. Post-production will be flexible based on your availability. Come be a part of something cool!
