Sound Designer, Indie Feature Film, Nashville (Remote OK)

Hey filmmakers, my name is Autumn Harrell and I'm a Music Supervisor on an upcoming independent feature film looking for a talented Sound Designer to join our team. We're crafting a captivating psychological thriller, a character-driven story with a dark, atmospheric tone. Think understated tension and evocative soundscapes that really get under the audience's skin. This isn't about big explosions, it's about subtle, impactful sound design that enhances the storytelling. Your primary role will be creating, editing, and mixing all sound effects and ambient tracks, working closely with the director and post-production team to realize their vision. You'll need experience with similar genre projects, a strong portfolio or reel demonstrating your sound design chops, and ideally your own preferred workstation and software. While we're based in Nashville, we're open to incredible remote talent. This is a deferred compensation project, as is common with many independent films, meaning payment will be made upon distribution. We anticipate post-production wrapping up in late summer, with flexible work hours based on milestones. We'll provide access to picture lock, script, and any necessary source audio.
