Sound Design for Feature Film

Hey fellow filmmakers, Troy Mathis here, usually on the DIT side, but helping out a friend with their next project. We're on the hunt for a skilled Senior Sound Designer for an upcoming independent feature film. It's an atmospheric psychological thriller, heavy on suspense and moody vibes. We need someone who can truly craft an immersive soundscape that amplifies the tension and dread. Think nuanced foley, meticulous sound effects, and overall sonic storytelling that really sells the genre. Your main responsibilities will include designing and implementing all sound elements from pre-production through final mix, collaborating closely with the director. You'll need to provide your own professional sound design suite and any specialized gear for creative sound capture. We're looking for someone with extensive feature film experience, a strong portfolio showcasing diverse projects, and a deep understanding of genre specific sonic palettes. Please submit your reel and a brief cover letter outlining relevant experience. Approximate post-production dates are September/October for 6-8 weeks, full-time hours.
