Gaffer (Mid-Level) for Atlanta Commercial

Hey Atlanta crew, I'm a Steadicam Op gearing up for an exciting, independent commercial project, and I'm looking for a talented Gaffer to join our team. We're shooting a dynamic, visually driven commercial (think high-energy lifestyle feel) for a local tech startup, showcasing their new product with a fresh, modern aesthetic. As our Gaffer, you'll be crucial in shaping the look and feel of this campaign. You'll be responsible for designing and executing the lighting setups, working closely with the DP to achieve our creative vision. This includes managing our lighting package, overseeing setup and strike, and ensuring all electrical needs are met safely and efficiently. We're looking for someone with solid commercial lighting experience, ideally 3+ years in a gaffer or best boy electric role. You should have a strong understanding of various lighting styles and equipment, both practical and cinematic. Experience with LED fixtures and DMX control is a big plus. We expect you to bring your own basic gaffing kit (meters, tools, etc.), but all major lighting equipment and grip gear will be provided. A valid driver's license and experience driving production vehicles are essential. Shoot dates are approximately 3-4 days in late July or early August, with some prep days beforehand. Compensation for this role is a co-producer credit and a share of the project's backend. This is a great opportunity to build your reel and collaborate on a project with real potential for exposure.
