Lighting for Corporate Video

Hey everyone, I'm putting the word out for a senior Gaffer to join us on an upcoming corporate video project in Vancouver. This isn't your average talking head video, it's a dynamic, story-driven piece for an independent production, focusing on innovative tech. We're aiming for a sleek, modern look with some interesting challenges in lighting various workspaces and product demonstrations. Your main responsibilities will include collaborating with the DP on lighting design, leading a small lighting crew, operating and maintaining all lighting equipment, and ensuring safety on set. We're looking for someone with significant experience (5+ years) rigging and lighting for corporate or commercial shoots, ideally with your own basic kit (stands, stingers, expendables, etc.). Specific larger lighting units will be provided. A strong portfolio demonstrating your work is a must. Shoot dates are tentatively scheduled for mid-April for approximately 3-4 days, 10-hour days. Craft services and lunch will be provided. This is a deferred pay position, reflecting the independent nature of the project, but we’re committed to making it a worthwhile and visually impressive piece for everyone's reels.
