Art Department for Documentary

Documentary Art Department Montreal, QC entry Budget: $100-200/day

Hey Montreal film folks, I'm Nadine, a Script Supervisor working on a short documentary and we're looking for an Art Assistant to join our small, enthusiastic crew. This film explores the vibrant, quirky world of competitive miniature dollhouse building. It's a charming, character-driven piece with a lot of heart, and we need someone creative to help bring the unique environments to life. As an Art Assistant, you'll be working closely with our Art Director, helping with prop sourcing, set decoration, and general art department support. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for someone looking to get their foot in the door on a real production. You don't need a ton of experience, but a good eye for detail, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to jump in where needed are key. While specific gear isn't required, any fabrication skills or experience with miniature work would be a huge plus. Please send a brief intro about yourself and any relevant experience or a portfolio if you have one, even if it's just personal projects. Shoot dates are approximate, but we anticipate 5-7 days in late May, early June. We're looking at 10-hour days. We provide lunch and transportation to and from set. Compensation is $100-200 / day, depending on experience. Excited to hear from you!
