Editing for Pilot
Hey everyone, Callum here. We're looking for an enthusiastic entry-level editor for an upcoming independent comedy pilot, shooting in Manchester. It's a character-driven, slightly surreal piece focusing on the absurdities of daily office life, think 'The Office' meets 'Nathan For You' but with a distinctly British flavour. Your main responsibilities will be assembling raw footage into a cohesive narrative, adding basic sound design (dialogue cleanup, foley), and colour grading for consistency. We'll be working closely on the edit. Ideally, you'll have experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and a good eye for comedic timing. While this is an entry-level position, a short reel showcasing your editing skills, even from student films or personal projects, would be a huge plus. We don't expect you to bring your own editing suite, we'll provide the necessary hardware and software. Shoot dates are tentatively planned for late July, so we're looking to start post-production in early August. This isn't a 9-5 gig, we'll agree on hours that work for both of us to get this pilot looking sharp. Compensation is TBD based on experience and will be discussed during the interview stage. Looking forward to seeing your work!
