Assistant Editor, Feature Film (London)

Hey everyone, I'm cutting an indie feature film, a darker psychological thriller with some surreal elements. It's an intense story, exploring themes of memory and trauma, and we're looking for an Assistant Editor to join our small, dedicated post-production team here in London. This is a great opportunity for someone earlier in their career to get hands-on experience on a feature. Your main responsibilities will include organizing rushes, syncing audio, managing media, creating dailies, and preparing sequences for the editor. You'll also be responsible for exports, helping with VFX turnovers, and generally keeping our projects tidy. We're working primarily in Adobe Premiere Pro so familiarity with that is a must. Ideally, you'll have some prior experience, even on shorts or student films, with media management and post-production workflows. While we won't strictly require a specific reel for this role, we'd love to see anything you've worked on that demonstrates your organizational skills or technical aptitude. We're offering 150-300 per day, depending on experience. The post-production schedule is still taking shape but we're looking at a commitment of roughly 4-6 weeks, potentially starting late July/early August. We'll be working out of a small studio space with all necessary equipment provided. This is a paid role and a chance to really contribute to a challenging and rewarding project.
