Senior Sound Designer, Web Series (London)

Hey everyone, I'm working on a really cool independent web series, a dark comedy with elements of psychological thriller, and I'm looking for an experienced Sound Designer to join the team. This series has a lot of intricate sound design opportunities, focusing on creating an unsettling and often humorous atmosphere through audio. We play with subjective reality, so the soundscape is crucial in conveying our protagonist's internal state. Your main responsibilities will include creating a comprehensive sound design blueprint, sourcing and creating sound effects, Foley recording and editing, and collaborating closely with myself (the Supervising Sound Editor) and the director to achieve the desired sonic aesthetic. We're looking for someone who can really dig into character and story through sound. You should have your own professional-grade sound design workstation and a strong portfolio demonstrating your ability to handle complex narrative sound design. This is a paid position at £250/day (flat rate) for approximately 4-6 weeks of work, starting late summer. We'll be working remotely for the most part, but with some required in-person meetings in London. We'll provide all necessary picture and sound material, and a clear creative brief.
