Best Boy or Lighting Technician, Pilot Shoot

Pilot Lighting Vancouver, BC mid Budget: $100-200/day

Hey everyone, I'm Jason Fong, a Gaffer in Vancouver, looking for a strong Best Boy or Lighting Technician for an upcoming pilot shoot. It's an independent production, a dark comedy with some thrilling twists, and we're aiming for a stylized, cinematic look. This is a unique story with a lot of creative potential that I'm really excited about. Your main responsibilities will include assisting with set-up and strike of lighting equipment, cable management, power distribution, and working closely with me to execute the Gaffer's vision. We're looking for someone with a good understanding of lighting principles and safety protocols. You should have at least mid-level experience on set, ideally with some pilot or short film credits. A reel isn't strictly necessary for Best Boy/LT, but if you have one showing your work, that's a bonus. We're shooting in Vancouver, BC, with approximate dates in late July / early August, likely 3-4 shoot days. Days will run around 10-12 hours. We'll provide all the necessary lighting and grip gear. Compensation is $100-200 per day, depending on experience. If you’re a hard worker, reliable, and keen to contribute to a fun, professional set, please get in touch with your resume and a brief intro about yourself.
