Gaffer for Manchester Web Series

Looking for a Gaffer to join our independent web series production in Manchester. It's a dark comedy, kind of quirky, with a focus on character dialogue and unique visual storytelling. We're shooting in a few different interior locations, so a good eye for shaping practical light and creating atmosphere will be key. Your main responsibilities will include collaborating with the DP on lighting plans, setting up and striking lights, managing power distribution, and overseeing our small lighting team. We're looking for someone who can work efficiently and creatively under an independent production budget. Ideally, you'd have your own basic kit (stands, stingers, clamps, gels, diffusion) but we will be providing any specialized fixtures or larger units. This is an entry-level position, so if you're a keen spark with some experience on smaller sets, we'd love to see your reel or a portfolio of your work. Please highlight any projects where you were responsible for lighting. Shoot dates are approximately 4-5 days in late July, early August, usually 10-12 hour days. We'll be providing lunch and snacks on set, of course.
