Lighting for Feature Film

Feature Film Lighting New Orleans, LA entry Budget: Points + deferred

Hey NOLA electrical wizards! We're putting together a lean, mean crew for an independent dramatic feature shooting here this fall, probably October/November. It's a gritty, character-driven story with some really compelling visuals, definitely not your average rom-com. We need an enthusiastic and reliable Gaffer to help take our lighting setups to the next level. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to get their first feature credit in a leadership position within the electric department. You'll be working closely with the Cinematographer and operating all lighting equipment, shaping the look of the film. We're looking for someone with basic lighting knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot. Having your own basic kit (stands, stingers, basic diffusion) is a huge plus, but not a deal-breaker. A strong work ethic and a good attitude are everything here. This is a deferred pay gig with points on the backend, standard for indie features, so we're looking for passionate folks. Days will be long but rewarding. We'll provide craft services and some meals. Shoot dates are TBD but locked in for fall.
