Feature Film Editor, Atlanta - Deferred + Points

Independent production company seeking a talented Mid-Level Editor for an upcoming feature film shooting in Atlanta, GA. This project is a character-driven independent drama, exploring themes of resilience and self-discovery with a grounded, intimate tone. We are aiming for a festival run and eventual distribution. This is a chance to shape the narrative of a compelling story. Key responsibilities include assembling raw footage into a cohesive narrative, refining pacing and timing, incorporating sound design and music, and collaborating closely with the director to achieve the film's artistic vision. You will be instrumental in crafting the emotional arc and visual flow. We need someone with a strong understanding of dramatic storytelling and an eye for detail. Applicants should have 3-5 years of experience as an editor on feature films or long-form narrative content. Please be proficient in industry-standard editing software, preferably Adobe Premiere Pro. You should also have your own workstation. We will provide all project media and any necessary plug-ins. A strong reel showcasing your narrative editing skills is essential. The film is currently slated to shoot for approximately 3 weeks in October 2026. Post-production will follow immediately after, expected to be about 6-8 weeks of work, primarily full-time hours. Compensation is deferred, with a points package included.
