Director: Sci-Fi Pilot

Seeking a passionate, entry-level Director for an exciting sci-fi pilot. This independent production has a dark, gritty tone, exploring themes of artificial intelligence and humanity's future. It's a character-driven piece with some cool visual effects opportunities. Your primary responsibility will be realizing the script's vision, guiding performances, and working closely with the DP to establish the visual style. We're looking for someone with a strong sense of story and visual storytelling capability, even if your experience is primarily with short films or student projects. Please provide a directing reel or links to your previous work. We anticipate shooting for 3-4 days in late summer or early fall, likely on weekends. This is a volunteer position, but we'll provide all meals, craft services, and a copy of the final pilot for your reel. We're a small, dedicated team, and this is a great chance to get some lead directing experience on a genre project in Los Angeles.
